Friends of CARESCO

The Friends of CARESCO were started in 2004 with the aim of creating a strong support base for the organisation. It was apparent that there were a number of people in the community who wanted to become more involved in the organisation but were often unable to play a more active part for a variety of reasons.

Some of our Friends are people who have moved away from Sawtry but who want to keep in touch. Others are in full-time employment or in poor health or otherwise unable to play a more active part.

The Friends receive a newsletter twice a year with news about CARESCO. They also get a copy of the Annual Report and the option, for those who live outside the area, to receive the Sawtry Eye by post. Membership is a minimum of £5.00 a year (with an optional additional donation of £5.00 for a year's subscription to Sawtry Eye to cover postage and packing).
