Community Printshop

Over time CARESCO has evolved to include other pre-existing projects:

Printshop

In 1986 the Manpower Services Commission pulled out of the Printshop which shared the Homecraft Centre with CARESCO. The CARESCO Management Committee agreed to take on the Printshop and therefore the whole building. The Printshop is managed by a paid member of staff who co-ordinates a team of volunteers to collate, fold and staple. The Printshop provides a cheap printing service to the surrounding community.

Sawtry Eye

Originally started by the Sawtry Parish Clerk, the Sawtry Eye has grown from a small A5 booklet to a thick A4 magazine. CARESCO took over the editing when it became too time-consuming for the Parish Clerk to manage alone. Published on alternate months, the Eye is currently distributed to every house in Sawtry, Glatton, Conington and Upton. Full of community news and views, the Eye has become the place to advertise events and local businesses.
